I have this kind of weird desire to take an epic road trip. The kind where you drive clear across the United States, staying in campsites and visiting friends along the way... Just see everything that I always planned to but never had the time to do. Finally spend some time west of the Mississippi. See the Pacific. Spend a day in Vegas.
It would be nice.
Here’s a car getting sideways in Canada... but it’s not in Canada.

I want to do a cross-country trip entirely off road (or as entirely off road as I can) in cheap beaters.

Road America?
My friend got similar road trip idea some time ago. I’ll explain it in full detail but here’s short version.
-fly to California
-buy a cheap and rust free 60’s Chrysler Town&Country wagon or similar
-drive across the US while buying interesting spare parts
-put the car into a shipping container in Florida and fly to home
-friend gets a new ride when the container arrives

That’s been one of my dreams since I was as kid. Haven’t pulled it off yet, though.
